Comic Book Publishers For Today's Super Hero

Comic Book Publishers

Everybody needs a super hero. With Superman busy in the telephone booths and Spiderman stuck in New York traffic, new super heroes are needed everyday. Comic book publishers are looking for new ideas daily. You could be the next big thing, or at least your super hero could be. To make a comic book you need to come up with an idea that can be exciting for at least 22 pages, give or take a couple pages. Your first book should be a timeline of your super hero's life up to this point. Your readers need to know how the main character contracted this super power and what events they encountered to make them know they had the power.

Once you know how your story is going to go, you need to start putting it on paper. Now, this is not quite like the traditional books. You need to be able to draw to a certain extent. Divide your paper into squares so that you can have pictures with each even that is happening. Have a whole page filled with exciting events. Have you ever heard the expression, "a picture tells a million words"? That is very true with comic books. You picture can tell the entire story. Make sure you put your pictures in the correct chronological order so your readers are not confused by the order the events have taken place. Keep in mind that not all of your pictures need to have words with them.

With the technology that we have available to us today we can make comic book drawings on the computer. There are many electronic devises that will transfer images from an electronic notepad onto your computer. You can find many of these devices on the internet while searching for graphic design equipment. Using these tools will take time and practice. It is well worth it to avoid making smudge marks on your paper. You will also have many more color options and perhaps you can even make it animated if that's what you desire to accomplish. If you are not very creative with art work, you can hire a professional to do the drawing for you, or the graphic work for you.

Now that you have your comic book ready to be published, you need to determine the genre of your comic. A genre can be action, comical, drama or others. Once you know the genre that you would categorize your comic book as you need to know if you have a mainstream comic or niche. A mainstream comic is one that many people will want to read. Niche is a type of comic book that you would be taking a risk at trying to get published. Know how much money you have available for publishing your comic book. If you don't have many funds available for the book you might wish to find a comic book publisher and just submit your work to them. This is allowing them to take over all responsibilities or the comic book. Also, how much time you have available to commit to publishing your comic book is another huge factor. If you have only a small amount of time that you could spend on publishing your own comic book, you might want to hand over this responsibility to comic book publishers.
